Training Programs

30 minute evaluation session with your pet's personal trainer and you!.  This session is required for all clients enrolling in a day training program or a private lesson program.  Also ideal for anyone unsure of where to start with your pet's training.  This is not a training session, but a meet and greet session to help set up a training plan designed just for your pet.  No charge for this service at this time.  Evaluation sessions are not currently required for enrollment in group classes.    We do require 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

One on one, 45 minute session with yourself, your pet, and your pet's personal trainer.  Pet owners do most of the training while being guided by our trainers.  Private lessons are available for special cases and situations only. An evaluation is required before signing up for a private lesson program.  *bulk training packages expire 3 months after purchase.

We offer several group classes every month touching on several different subjects!  From obedience, to tricks, to fitness, and more!  All pets must show proof of current vaccinations including Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella.  Puppies under 16 weeks are required to have received 2 rounds of the DHPP vaccine, and the Bordetella Vaccine.  At 16 weeks and older they will be required to have the Rabies vaccine.  Classes are limited in size to guarantee every student receives individualized attention.  Non-refundable deposits of half the cost of the class, and preregistration are required to hold your spot as our classes do fill up very quickly.  Call us at 636-748-2119 or message us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/gatewaycaninellc with any questions or to get started!

Basic Obedience Group Class

This is our most sought after class!  We'll focus on basic obedience skills such as sit, down, climb, walk on a loose leash, coming when called every time, heel, and more!  We'll discuss canine communication, problem solving, and manners every dog should know.  We'll be teaching fun games to do at home to keep your pet calm and happy, while keeping training fun.   Both positive, and balanced training methods will be addressed and used throughout the class.  This class is the perfect starting point for any age of dog, for puppies and for adults.  All breeds are welcomed too!  Dogs with any aggression or reactivity to humans or other animals are better fit in our Day Training program to keep all our students safe.  New classes start monthly but fill up quickly.  This is a 7 week course at $200.00.  See calendar or facebook page events for times and dates.

Intermediate  Group Class

This 6 week class is the perfect choice for dogs that have finished a beginner's course, or who can demonstrate basic obedience skills such as down, sit, heel, and come when called.  We focus on advanced distractions while training, heeling skills and finishes, off leash beginning work, hand signals and more!  $150.00.  Dogs must have finished a beginner's course with us, or can demonstrate foundation skills.

Tricky Dog 101

We go beyond cute puppy tricks in this fun 6 week class!  Learn how dogs learn, and how to make your dog LOVE to learn again through games, play, tricks, and enrichment!  Dogs also have the opportunity to earn their AKC Novice Trick title, and their Do More With Your Dog novice title as well!  $150.00. Pre-Registration is required.  No prior skills required.  

Puppy Star

Manners, puppy mouthing, potty training, socialization, fear periods, puppy safe toys, games and more!  Get your pup started today on an awesome future!  Class is limited for pups 8 months and younger, and focuses on all things puppy!  (not a substitute for base obedience classes, but sit, down, and loose leash walking will be started).  6 week class, $150.00.  (This class is currently not available, we recommend starting with our basic obedience class for all pups!  Let us know if you'd like to earn your pup's puppy star during our basic obedience class, we'll help you work on the requirements there!)

Day Training is Gateway Canine’s drop off training option. Dogs stay with our trainers during the day, and go home with you every evening. This allows for more focused training, and sometimes quicker results without your pet staying away from home for extended periods of time.
